Hyderabad: Vigilance Awareness Week started today at Maulana Azad National Urdu University.
Different activities under this week will continue till November 2. The theme of the week is “Satark Bharat, Samridh Bharat (Vigilance India, Prosperous India).
Addressing the teachers and officials on the occasion, Prof. SM Rahmatullah, Vice Chancellor in-charge said that corruption is a menace to the society and it can be eradicated through collective efforts only.
It is important that we pay attention to honesty and transparency not only in the organization but also in personal life. If everyone pays attention to this, our country can become the best in the world.
On this occasion, Social distancing was maintained in view of the Covid-19. The campaign is being organized by the NSS unit, MANUU.
Vigilance awareness banners, posters and boards were put up at the campus in accordance with the guidelines of the Central Vigilance Commission. Online discussions, general information Quiz are also being organized for the students.
Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Co-ordinator, NSS Cell administered the oath of vigilance. He advised teachers and officials to take bold steps to eradicate corruption. A special online lecture has also been arranged during the week, informed Prof. M. Vanaja, Vigilance Officer.
