Hyderabad: BJP National President Amit Shah visited Gundarampally of Nalgonda district on Wednesday and met the families of those who were killed by Razakars.
Addressing the booth level committee members later, Amit Shah hailed the people who sacrificed their lives fighting against Razakars. He said people of Gundarampally have fought bravely to drive out Razakars from their area.
He said that young generation should be made aware of atrocities done by Razakars and how they locals fought against them. He said Razakars’ were Nizam’s private army and they opposed the merger of Hyderabad State with Indian Union.
Indirectly targeting the TRS Government, he said the present government needs to introspect whether it was fulfilling the dreams of those who fought against Razakars and those who sacrificed their lives for the cause of Telangana statehood.
Reacting to the question as to why he was raising the dead issue of Razakars after so many decades, he accused the media persons of asking such questions at the behest of TRS and Congress parties.
In his speech, Telangana BJP President Dr. K. Lakshman said that Congress party was trembling due to the visit of Amit Shah to Telangana.
The meeting was also addressed by Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya and other leaders.
Earlier, Amit Shah also inaugurated an exhibition on the atrocities of Razakars. (INN)
