KRC Murty takes over as NTPC Regional Executive Director (South)

Hyderabad: K. Ram Chandra Murty has taken over as NTPC Regional Executive Director (South) at Secunderabad on Monday.

Prior to joining at Southern Region Headquarters, KRC Murty was Executive Director for three large power plants of Singrauli (2000 MW), Rihand (3000 MW) and Vindhyachal (4760 MW), which is NTPC largest Super Thermal Power Station.

A Mechanical Engineer from Ravishankar University, Raipur, KRC Murty had joined NTPC in 1980 as an Executive Engineering Trainee. He had held several important positions in a career span of over three and half decades and worked at various NTPC stations such as Badarpur, Auraiya, NOIDA, Durgapur, Talcher Thermal, Singrauli, Rihand and Vindhyachal.

In a successful career span of over 36 years at NTPC, KRC Murty has varied and rich experience in the field of power plant operation and maintenance and management of large thermal and gas-based power plants.

Murtyhas undergone Advanced Leadership Development Programme at Wharton in USA and attended training programmes at several premier institutes in India and abroad, according to a press release. (INN)
