MBT alleges scam in Maulana Azad Day celebrations

Hyderabad: Majlis Bachau Tahreek (MBT) Spokesperson Amjed Ullah Khan has alleged of lot of irregularities by Minorities Welfare Department in organising the Moulana Abul Kalaam Azad birth anniversary celebrations at Fateh Maidan as ‘Minority Day on November 11.

Amjed Ullah Khan said Advisor to Telangana Government A.K. Khan, MWD Secretary Syed Omer Jaleel, SMFC MD Shafiullah and TMREIS SO official Vilayat Hussain were spending nearly Rs. 1 crore on the celebrations.

He said all students of Telangana Minority Residential Schools have beek asked to come along with their parents at Fateh Maidan.

He alleged that the officials had given unofficial contracts to relatives of Deputy Chief Minister Mehmood Ali to decorate Fateh Maidan, supply necessary items and to hire buses to bring children from all districts of Telangana without any due tender process.

The MBT leader demanded that instead of forcibly calling all TMREIS students and parents and making Muslim girls dance in front of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, the officials of MWD should celebrate the Minority Day in the all residential School premises in all districts.

He advised the Chief Minister to issue a GO so that Minority Day is celebrated in all Districts Minorities Residential Schools in the presence of District Incharge Minister and Collector and not to reduce the size and stature of Moulana abul Kalam Azad by celebrating Minority Day in a single place at Fateh Maidan.
