Congress thanks eminent personalities for supporting rally on 12% quota

Hyderabad: The Telangana Congress on Sunday thanked the eminent personalities and heads of various organisations for their support to the rally on 12% Muslim reservation.

GHCC Minorities Department chairman Shaik Abdullah Sohail and TPCC Spokesperson Syed Nizamuddin, in a media statement on Sunday, said that the ‘Walk for 12% Muslim Reservation’ held from Charminar to Gandhi Bhavan on November 11 was due to the support extended by various individuals and organisations.

They specially thanked Siasat Urdu Daily News Editor Amer Ali Khan and said that his support to all movements for 12% Muslim reservation has been exemplary. They said Amer Ali Khan has always encouraged everyone who fought for the cause of Muslim reservation.

They said that the role being played by Siasat Daily and Amer Ali Khan for the cause of 12% Muslim quota will be remembered in history forever.

The Congress leaders also thanked Tahreek Muslim Shabban president Mohammed Mushtaq Mallik for supporting the rally. They also thanked Mushtaq Mallik for offering continuous support for all the agitations to be held in future for the cause of 12% Muslim reservation.

They also expressed gratitude to Majlis Bachau Tahreek spokesperson Amjed Ullah Khan for participating in the rally. They said Amjed Ullah Khan has been a motivating factor for all those who are fighting for 12% Muslim quota.

They also thanked Moulana Rafeeq of Popular Front and other eminent personalities who participated in the rally and extended their support.

They said that the Congress party would soon announce the schedule of its agitation programmes to pressurise Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao to implement promised 12% Muslim quota in jobs and education. (INN)
