Hyderabad: The winter session of Telangana Assembly and Council came to end on Friday.
Speaker S. Madhusudan Chary adjourned the Assembly sine die after the House discussed various issues including administrative reforms.
The Assembly functioned for 16 days during which different issues were discussed for 69 hours and 25 minutes. As many 100 Starred Questions were answered orally and 40 Un-starred Questions were included in the lists and circulated to members.
A total of 48 Starred Questions and 10 Un-Starred questions were placed on the table of the House today. A total of 250 supplementary questions were answered.
A total of 103 speeches were made by the members while the Chief Minister/ministers made four statements. As many as 11 Short Discussions were held and 11 bills were introduced and passed during the winter session.
The first report of the Committee on Public Accounts (2015-17) was also presented in the House today by Committee’s chairperson Dr. J. Geeta Reddy.
Meanwhile, Legislative Council too adjourned sine die by its Chairman Swamy Goud.
Giving details of party-position in Assembly, the Speaker informed that the TRS has 82 members, Congress -19, AIMIM – 7, BJP – 5, TDP – 3, CPI – 1, CPI (M) – 1, Independent – 1 and Nominated – 1. (INN)
