Massive ticket checking at Manoharabad Rly Stn

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Division of South Central Railway undertook a massive ticket checking drive on various express and passenger trains at Manoharabad Railway Station today from 6 am to 11.30 am.

The ticket checking drive at Manoharabad, in the suburbs of twin cities was to curb ticketless, irregular travel and un-booked luggage. The drive was not only to plug leakage of revenue but also to ensure comfortable and safe journey of bonafide rail passengers.

The ticket checking drive was conducted under the overall supervision Hyderabad Division Commercial Manager A. Sridhar and other officials along with commercial and RPF staff.

A total 11 trains were thoroughly checked and an amount of Rs.69,565 was realised towards fine. As many as 196 persons were detected travelling without ticket and an amount of Rs. 63,375 was realised as penalty.

A total of 43 cases of un-booked luggage was also detected, towards which an amount of Rs.6, 190 was charged. (INN)
