Hyderabad: The Telangana Government on Wednesday released an amount of Rs. 6,000 crore for distribution among farmers as ‘Investment Support’ at the rate of Rs. 4,000 per acre for Khariff season.
According to sources, this amount would be distributed among farmers through cheques which could be encashed in any bank. The cheque distribution will be done in Gram Sabhas to be held soon.
The State Government has ordered bulk printing of cheque books and the leaflets, to be distributed in the first phase, are being transported from Hyderabad to various districts. (INN)
