Workshop on Public Health by UNICEF at MANUU

Hyderabad: Department of Mass Communication & Journalism, Maulana Azad National Urdu University in collaboration with the UNICEF is organizing a two-day Critical Appraisal Skills (CAS) training programme on Public Health on August 30 and 31 at the department.

According to Prof. Ehtesham Ahmed Khan, HoD and Dean School of MCJ, the aim of the workshop is to encourage a meaningful discourse around the crucial subject of Routine Immunization.

It is an attempt to bridge gaps in health reportage through an innovative capacity building intervention with media, including mid-level journalists, editors, government officials and journalism institutes.

UNICEF is launching the CAS for Public Health Reporting across the country and during two day programme at MANUU. Academics & Media persons will be provided training.

Eminent media personalities and experts from all over India has been invited as the resource persons for CAS training Prpgramme. UNICEF has offered MANUU a course on Health Journalism for the students of Mass Communication & Journalism.
