Azad Day Celebrations at MANUU

Hyderabad: Mr. Mr. Shahnawaz Qasim, IPS, CEO, Telangana Waqf Board, will inaugurate the 5-day long Maulana Azad Day celebrations by addressing the students of Maulana Azad National Urdu University Model School in Vattepalli, near Falaknuma on Monday (November 5) at 10-00 am as Chief Guest. Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, Vice-Cahncellor, MANUU will preside over.

Maulana Azad, a front-line freedom fighter and first education minister of independent India, was born on November 11, 1888. The government of India has declared his birthday as National Education Day.

Following a series of literary and cultural events, Maulana Azad Day Memorial Lecture
“Maulana Abul Kalam Azad : Ek Naabagha-e-Rozgar Shakhsiyat” (Maulana Azad : A Legendary Personality) will be delivered by Prof. Zafar Ahmad Siddiqui, Dept. of Urdu, Aligarh Muslim University, on 8 th November, 9.30 am at DDE Auditorium.

The literary and cultural events being organized from 5 th to 15 th November include Bait Bazi, Essay Writing, Quiz Competition, Blood Donation camp, Maulana Azad Photo Exhibition, Azad Walk, Play “Umang” and cultural variety programme Rang Tarang.
