Nalgonda MP Komatireddy asks TS CM to waive off crop loan dues

Hyderabad, INN: Nalgonda MP Komatireddy Venkatreddy on Wednesday demanded that the Telangana Government immediately waive off pending dues of Rs. 1 lakh crop loan waiver schemes.

Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises here, Komatireddy said that the Centre has increased the FRBM limit enabling the State to borrow more loans.

Therefore, he said that the State Government should mobilise funds to clear off pending dues of crop loan waiver scheme. He said thousands of farmers were in need of fresh loans and assistance in view of Khariff season.

Therefore, he said that the State Government should take measures on war footing basis to help the farmers.

Komatireddy said that TRS Government has wasted nearly Rs. 300 crore in the name of celebrations, publicity, fireworks or lighting. He said that the same amount should have been used for the welfare of farmers.

He said that the State Government should stop releasing advertisements on immediate basis.

Speaking about likely defection of Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy to TRS, he said Gutha should resign from his post before joining the ruling party.
