Salesforce to set up center in Hyderabad, create 1000 jobs

American customer relation management firm, Salesforce plans to set up a new Center of Excellence in Hyderabad, as part of its expansion in India.

The San Francisco based software company is mulling to create 1,000 jobs with its new 2,000 sq ft facility in Hitech City. The new center will be functional by end of 2016.

Saleforce’s senior vice president of Global Customer Success, Atul Nanda told the press that the Hyderabad facility would be one of their largest engineering and customer success centers across the world.

The company, which already has its presence in Bangalore and Mumbai, also mulling to open its fourth center in Gurgaon this year after the Hyderabad center.

“India is going to be a key market for us and we already have customers like Bajaj Finserv, PayTM, Snapdeal, Inmobi and Urban Ladder using our customer success platforms,” Nanda was quoted by IANS as saying.

Country Head-India at Salesforce, Arun Balasubramanian: “Our plans at the new centre include modern workplace designs that focus on employee wellness with dedicated spaces for collaboration, mindfulness and social activities.”

US Consul General Michael Mullins also expressed hope that Saleforce would benefit from the large talent pool available in the region.

Mullins noted that he witnessed a boost in Indo-US collaboration in past three years, with aerospace, defense, smart cities development and health care as key interest areas for the USA in the country.
