Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Secretary Dr. S.K. Joshi on Wednesday held a high level meeting with the senior officials on arrangements to be made for the official celebration of Republic Day on January 26 at Parade Grounds.
Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan will take the salute for customary parade and address the Republic Day celebrations at Parade Grounds. The Chief Secretary directed that elaborate security and traffic arrangements be made for the event.
Further, he said supply of power and water, sanitation, public address system, mobile toilets and other facilities should be arranged. He said that the venue should be decorated with flowers in coordination with Horticulture Department.
Special buses should be arranged to enable school students attend the ceremony. Ambulance and fire fighting arrangements should also be made.
Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao will pay homage to the martyrs at Martyrs’ Memorial at Parade Grounds.
The meeting was attended by senior officials of all major departments.
