HMRL MD gets “Pride of Telangana” award

Hyderabad: At a glittering function of Round Tables India organisation held at HICC in the night of Saturday, Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd (HMRL) Managing Director NVS Reddy received the prestigious “Pride of Telangana” award in the Administrative services category.

Unanimously selected by a jury of eminent persons, the award was presented to him jointly by Principal Secretary, Industries Jayesh Ranjan and GVK group director Pinky Reddy.

In his acceptance speech, NVS Reddy stated that Hyderabad Metro Rail is the world’s largest metro project in public private partnership mode and it’s a matter of pride for India that a metro project involving three billion dollars or twenty thousand crore rupees investment could be successfully implemented here though most of the global experts thought it was impossible to implement a project of this magnitude in ppp mode.

He also mentioned that the project would take Hyderabad into a higher orbit of development and make it a more liveable city.

The other Pride of Telangana category awardees included Vijay Devarakonda (Film artists category), Dr Reddy’s Foundation(NGO category), Suven Life Sciences (SMEs), Yamani Reddy(Art & Culture), Ratna Reddy of Chirac International School (Education), Anytime Loan (Start ups) etc., (INN)
