TEW to run awareness campaign to boost poll percentage

Hyderabad: The “Telangana Election Watch”, an umbrella organization of 30 civil societies in Telangana State met State Election Commissioner V. Nagi Reddy on Thursday with an offer to take up a special campaign in the State to improve voting percentage and to prevent electoral corruption and other malpractices.

This organization also played an active role during the previous elections to Parliament, Assembly and also Panchayat Raj Institutions.

They are working in all the 32 Districts and have requested to advise the District Collectors to extend due cooperation in realizing their motto.

Nagi Reddy thanked the representatives of Telangana Election Watch and agreed to extend full cooperation from Telangana State Election Commission and also to advise the District Collectors and Election Authorities to extend similar cooperation. (INN)
