Governor interacts with students of Kashmir

Hyderabad: Today at Raj Bhavan, Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has interacted with the students of Kashmir who came to Hyderabad under Youth Exchange Programme “Watan Ko Jano” 2019-2020 started under the aegis of Ministry of Home Affairs , Government of India.

The students expressed that they are very happy to witness the cultural and historical heritage of Hyderabad, as most of them did not even visit their State capital city and the places outside their region.

One Harmat Hameed, a 9th Class Student from Bandipora District stated that she would like to continue in further studies in Hyderabad. She also invited the Governor to visit the ever enchanting Kashmir. One Zahida, BA 1st year student from Baramullah District stated that she is very much delighted to see the Raj Bhavan heritage buildings.

One Jaffar Hussain, Inter 2nd year student from Bandipora District stated that he was from a poor family who can’t afford even to travel outside his region. It is due to MHA, he could have the opportunity see Hyderabad.

Yaqub Ahmed, B.Sc final year student from Bandipora District expressed his thrilling experiences of seeing beautiful places in Hyderabad. Jasmim Zahoor, 4th Sem BA (Hos) girl from Budgan stated that tour was very informative and interesting. Zahed Nizir, a BA 2nd year student from Budgan district greatly admired of the rich culture, industrial and infrastuctural development, heritage of Hyderabad City.

The students thanked Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, SSB, CRPF and civil authorities of Telangana for facilitating their visit.

The Governor said that it also gave her an opportunity to explain the greatness of India and its unity in diversity. She appealed the students to have pride in the greatness of our country and spread the message that we are all one in spite of our cultural differences.

She also urged them to share their experiences with their friends and relatives and spread the message of peace, good will and unity when they return to their places.

This much thoughtful programme of the Ministry of Home Affairs gave an exposure to the youth and children of Kashmir to witness the rich cultural heritage of other places of the country and also have the first-hand experience of socio-economic development that is taking place in the other parts of the country.

This programme will broaden the horizon of thinking of the youth of Kashmir. (INN)
