TS Govt receives three Cryogenic tankers from MEIL

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Somesh  Kumar informed that  the  MEIL (Megha Engineering Infrastructure Company Ltd) has given assurance to donate (11) cryogenic tankers to the State Government as part of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), today received three Cryogenic tankers at Begumpet  Air force Station.

The Chief Secretary flagged off the tankers which will go by train to Odisha to fill with oxygen. The Cryogenic Oxygen tankers were airlifted by IL.76 Indian Airforce Aircraft from Bangkok and reached Begumpet Airport in the afternoon.

Somesh Kumar said that three tankers have arrived in Hyderabad as first batch and the remaining are scheduled to reach by tomorrow, but due to disturbance in Bay of Bengal, remaining tankers will be arriving  in 3 to 4 days.

The Chief Secretary informed that as per the instructions of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, to ensure proper Oxygen supply to the Covid patients in the State without any shortage, all the officers working relentlessly to contain the spread of Covid and also initiated steps to construct Oxygen plants, storage units and procuring tankers to supply Oxygen to the Covid patients in the State.Sunil Sharma, Special Chief Secretary (TR&B), M.R.Rao, Commissioner, Transport,  Srinivas Reddy, (MEIL) and other officials were present. (INN)
