Free Covid Vaccination drive begins at MANUU

Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University is organizing free Covid-19 vaccination campaign with the support of the Government of India and the Government of Telangana from July 13 to 15, 2021. The campaign provides free vaccination to University students, faculty, non-teaching & teaching staff and their dependents, as well as contractual employees, housekeeping and security personnel.

While addressing the inaugural at University Health Centre, Prof. SM Rahmatullah, Vice-Chancellor I/c, said vaccination is important for everyone. Due to its high cost, it is being provided free by the Government of India. It would be a grave mistake if someone got infected due to our negligence, he added. This needs to be avoided. It is our responsibility to take advantage of this opportunity and get vaccinated. Prof. Rahmatullah thanked the Central Government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in particular, for providing the valuable vaccine free of cost. He also thanked all those responsible for the vaccination camp at MANUU and the Health Center staff.

Prof. Siddiqui Mohammad Mahmood, Registrar I/c while congratulating the team for their commendable work said this campaign is made possible because of tireless efforts of Prof. Alim Ashraf Jaisi, Dean Welfare, Students and Chairperson, Covid 19 Monitoring Committee and his team. Inform people about the benefits of vaccination in a convincing manner and encourage them to have it, he urged.Prof. Alim Ashraf Jaisi informed that apart from the members of the DSW team and Covid-19 Monitoring Committee, Dr. Abdul Karim, Played an important role in organizing this camp. Dr. Khwaja Mohd Ziyauddin, Assistant Dean, Student Welfare; conducted the proceedings. Dr. Qutubuddin Ansari, I/c Health Center proposed a vote of thanks. (INN)
