Hyderabad: Jagtial legislator Dr Sanjay Kumar claimed that the Telangana state was now in the position of feeding the nation only under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao.
Sanjay Kumar inaugurated a procurement centre in Raikal Mandal on Friday. He said that the production of crops increased multifold after the formation of the Telangana state.
He said that while Kaleshwaram enhanced the irrigation ayacut in the state, Mission Kakatiya gave a new lease of life to the water bodies.
The TRS MLA said that the irrigation in the year 2015 in Jagtial was at 15000 acres which increased to 65000 acres today.He said that the uninterrupted power supply to the agriculture sector had made the lives of farmers easy. These steps by the CM have been crucial for the growth of production in the state, he added. (INN)
