KCR says ‘Ab Ki Baar Kisan Sarkar’ in Maharashtra

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao delivered a passionate speech during a public meeting held in Sarkoli, Maharashtra, emphasizing the need for a new direction in India’s progress. He expressed his party’s commitment to initiate a fresh freedom struggle and lead the nation towards a revolutionary transformation.

Drawing inspiration from the remarkable progress made by smaller countries like South Korea, Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia, KCR posed the question of China’s transformation from poverty to prosperity. He urged the people to contemplate these success stories and consider the potential for India’s own advancement.

Highlighting the political landscape of Maharashtra, KCR reminded the audience that power had been entrusted to various parties such as Congress, Shiv Sena, and BJP, but lamented their lack of significant achievements. He asserted that anyone could come to power if the will existed but emphasized his party’s dedication to the welfare of farmers, declaring, “We are not anyone’s team; we are the Kisan team.” He reaffirmed the slogan, “Ab Ki Bar, Kisan Sarkar” (This time, a farmer’s government).

KCR recognized the challenges faced by farmers and expressed a commitment to addressing their concerns. Despite not being fluent in Marathi, he assured the crowd that he comprehended their issues. Recognizing Maharashtra as a prosperous state, he dismissed the claims of other parties and reiterated his party’s focus on the welfare of the people at large.

Water scarcity emerged as a pressing issue, with KCR pledging to provide water to millions of acres of cultivated land. He cited the distressing water supply situation in cities like Aurangabad, Solapur, and Akola as evidence of the failure of the central government’s water supply policy. He questioned the utility of governance and policies if citizens were deprived of basic necessities like drinking water.

Addressing the electricity problem, KCR proposed a balanced approach incorporating hydro, solar, and coal resources to ensure uninterrupted power supply throughout the country. He asserted that Telangana had already implemented 24-hour free electricity for farmers and highlighted the importance of unity among farmers for effecting positive change. The CM also mentioned the provision of a 4,000 rupee pension for disabled individuals and promised the implementation of similar welfare programs in Maharashtra if his party assumed power.KCR drew parallels with the United States, acknowledging the challenges faced by the African American community and the subsequent election of Barack Obama as a significant turning point. He expressed the desire for a similar change in India and called for the election of a government that prioritizes the concerns of farmers. The CM highlighted the digitization of land records in Telangana through the Dharani portal and urged Maharashtra to adopt similar initiatives for the benefit of its citizens. He extended his support to Marathi leader Bhagirath Balke, who had joined his party, and praised Balke’s contributions to the development of Western Maharashtra, particularly in Pandaripura. (INN)
