Jogu Ramanna hits back at Congress over agriculture sector

Hyderabad: Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna today charged that the Congress, which turned a myopic eye on irrigation and agriculture sectors during its regime, was now shedding crocodile tears.

Congress completely ignored agri-sector during its regime, he said.

Reacting on the Congress protest program in Adilabad, Mr Ramanna alleged that the Congress leaders indulged in a scam of Rs 8000 Crore for digging up canals of Pranahitha-Chevella project.

He expressed displeasure at the Congress leaders for attributing corruption charges to the government with regard to developmental programs, projects and welfare schemes.

The Congress has no moral right to speak about the corruption as they themselves were neck deep in it, he remarked.

He challenged Congress former MP Madhu Yaskhi Goud to prove corruption charges he made if he had guts. The projects works are continuing though the Opposition tries to stall them, he added. (INN)
