Haj Pilgrims from TS, AP safe in Makkah

Hyderabad: Telangana State Haj Committee Special Officer Prof. S A Shukoor on Wednesday informed that the Haj pilgrims from the State of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are safe in Makkah and busy offering prayers.

The Haj rituals will commence from Saturday and the pilgrims will start reaching there from Friday Night by buses.

He said that the Khadimul-Hujjaj were in regular touch with the State Haj Committee and giving regular updates on the conditions of the pilgrims who are currently in Makkah.

He said that the pilgrims of the state will leave Makkah for Mina on Friday night.

Prof Shukoor said that day temperature in Makkah was around 42 degree Celsius today while in Mina it was 41 degrees Celsius. The Saudi Authorities have made elaborate arrangements for treatment of sun stroke cases.

As many as 80 fully equipped Primary Health Centres have been set up in Makkah, Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifa.

He further said that the authorities have put certain conditions for the Haj rituals and the Khadimul-Hujjaj have been asked to inform the pilgrims about these regulations. (INN)
