Reorganization of districts: CM to meet party legislators today

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will meet TRS legislators and other people’s representatives to seek their views on the reorgainsation of districts.

According to sources, the Chief Minister has reiterated that the reorganization of districts is being done on the popular demand and by adopting a scientific approach. Accordingly, the Chief Minister will meet party legislators on October 2nd and 3rd.

On October 2, the Chief Minister will meet party legislators, ZPTC, MPTCs and other leaders from Nizamabad, Medak, Ranga Reddy, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda districts. While on October 3, he will hold consultations with party leaders from Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Khammam and Adlabad, party sources informed.

Meanwhile in a related development, Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma at a review meeting on reorgainsation of districts directed the officials to hasten up the process and ensure all arrangements for the new districts which are set to be functional very soon.

He directed the officials to send the soft copies of documents to the new district which the hard copies will remain in the old district headquarters for the time being. He directed the official to ensure speedy work at the new district so that the new districts are into operation from the day one of their coming into existence. (INN)
