A new shopping mall Heera Mart was inaugurated by Telangana’s Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali at Kukatpally in the presence of former Indian cricket captain Mohammed Azharuddin and Bollywood stars Sunil Shetty, Karishma Kapoor and Tollywood director V.V.Vinayak.
The first section of the Heera Mart mall that sprawls on 1,20,000 sft area, a 12,000sft jewellery showroom was inaugurated. According to Founder and CEO Ms. Nowhera Shaik, the group has its ‘own jewellery manufacturing units’. It will ‘sell jewellery to both wholesale and retail from this outlet’. The mall will house a ‘textile production unit’ on nearly 18,000sft supplying mostly ladies garments.
24×7 Shopping Mall
According to Ms. Shaik, “a first of its kind 24 x7 shopping centre will be set up on nearly 40,000 square feet that will provide grocery, food products, fish, meat, fruits and vegetables among other things”.
The mall will also house ‘Heera Pharmacy’, the group’s yet another flagship venture alongside its corporate office on nearly 8000sft area. The shopping mall has parking space for nearly 500 cars and will be a one-stop shopping destination for jewellery, electronics, apparel, pharmacy, food products and more.
Barely a week since the business group’s 35,000sft corporate office was inaugurated in Mumbai on 2nd October, Ms. Shaik laid out plans to inaugurate Heera Mart non-stop shopping malls in Tirupathi by 2016 and in Bangalore and Chennai by 2017. The business group is also set to inaugurate a 600-bed hospital in Chevella, Moinabad by February 2017.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Shaik called upon women to become entrepreneurs adding that both the country’s secular character and the government is promoting entrepreneurship.
Addressing the gathering at the inaugural function, Mohammed Azharuddin, Karishma Kapoor and Sunil Shetty unanimously lauded the efforts of Ms. Shaik and particularly proclaimed her entrepreneurship endeavours as a woman. Leader of Opposition Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Mohammed Asaduddin Abbas, actor Chunky Pandey, Mohammed Aquil and others were also present on this occasion.
