The government of Telangana State announced on Dussehra festival that all new districts have been reorganized peacefully. Now the 29th state of India has a total of 27 districts, unlike 10 districts earlier.
The purpose for reorganizing its 10 districts into 27, as officially stated,
“For better administration and development of the areas comprised therein and for matters connected therewith…”
