TS Secretariat may be shifted in 10 days?

Hyderabad: All the IAS officials working in the Telangana State Secretariat have been reportedly asked to prepare for shifting to other place in the next 10 days.

According to sources, an urgent meeting of all IAS officers working in the Secretariat was convened on Monday and they were directed to gear up their staff to shift their respective offices to either Boorgula Ramakrishna Bhavan or Gagan Vihar.

Although this could not be confirmed officially, sources say that the senior officials have been asked to identify suitable space to temporarily shift their offices.

The Chief Minister’s Office may be temporarily shifted to B.R.K. Bhavan near GHMC Headquarters.

The activities in the State Secretariat clearly indicated that the staff and officials were making arrangements for mass shifting of their offices.

It may be mentioned that the State Government wants to demolish the old Secretariat blocks and replace the same with a new Vaasthu-compliant structure at a cost of nearly Rs. 350 crore.

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had also met Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan to allot a few blocks of Andhra Pradesh Secretariat on temporary basis. (INN)
