Dy CM inaugurates modernised labour room at Unani Hospital

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali inaugurated the modernised labour room at Nizamia Tibbi and Unani Hospital at Charminar on Tuesday.

Speaking to media persons later, the Deputy CM informed that Rs. 2.5 crore were spent for renovation of modernisation of wards in the Nizamia Tibbi Hospital.

He claimed that the facilities now were on par with the corporate hospital. He said an additional Rs. 3 crore were needed for upgradation of hospital and announced that he would provide Rs. 1 crore under his Area Development Fund.

Health Minister Dr. Lakshma Reddy said that the State Government would soon launch 102 Ambulance service for transportation of pregnant women.

He said that the government was taking steps for modernisation of all government hospitals in the State.

Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Charminar MLA Ahmed Pasha Quadri, Hyderabad District Collector Rahul Bojja, Addl Director (Unani) AYUSH Dr. Mir Yousuf Ali, Hospital Superintendant Dr. Parveen Sultana and other senior officials were also present. (INN)
