KCR is all praise for Rajiv Sharma, appoints him as Chief Advisor

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday hailed the services of the outgoing Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma saying that he was an all-rounder and had played a key role in the drafting and implementation of key policies of the state government.

Speaking at the felicitation ceremony of the outgoing CS, the Chief Minister said that the state government would appoint him as the Chief Advisor to the state government, with a cabinet rank status.

Dr Sharma was till now an official bureaucrat and from now on he will be a political bureaucrat and will work as the Chief Advisor to the government, the CM said.

Recalling the services rendered by Dr Sharma, the Chief Minister said that the former played a key role in conducting the one-day Integrated Household Survey, the reorganization of districts and drafting of the state’s industrial policy TSiPass.

Speaking on occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari said Dr. Sharma solved complex issues a smile.

He lauded the services of the outgoing CS saying that he played a key role in steering the state to the top position in the country. He also said that no other outgoing CS had received such a grand felicitation in the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rajiv Sharma said with the Chief Minister had given him a free hand in implementation of various policies.

The CM took part in designing the strategies and left it us to implement without inferring in our work and giving us a free had, Dr Sharma said.

He said that he was satisfied for having worked with a CM who cooperated with the officials and guided them all the time. (INN)
