Govt trying to dilute housing scheme through fudged figures: Revanth

Hyderabad: TDP MLA A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday hit out at the State Government saying that it had drastically reduced the beneficiaries under the double bedroom housing scheme.

Speaking in the Assembly on the double bedroom housing scheme, Revanth Reddy said that the government had claimed that about 22 lakh people in the State did not own a house of their own.

However, the government figures now claim the figure to be 52,000. He said that about 10.70 lakh people had applied for double bed room scheme but the government has ditched the poor by manipulating figures and was trying to deny them the double bedroom as promised to the homeless poor.

He demanded the government to come clear on the issue before the house warming function of the double bedroom schemes in Erravelli village.

Later, speaking to the media persons, the TDP leader said that the government has completed only 1,000 2BHK units and warned of launch massive protest if the government tries to dilute the scheme. (INN)
