KCR family consumed most of Assembly’s time in Winter Session: Revanth

Hyderabad: MLA and TD working president Revanth Reddy on Thursday took pot shot at the government saying that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and his family members consumed most of the time of the state legislature during the recently concluded Winter Session.

Speaking to media persons here, Revanth Reddy said that the CM and his family members (referring to ministers KTR and Harish Rao) spoke for 33 hours and 30 minutes.

CM and his family members spoke in the House while KCR’s Cabinet colleagues were not given enough time to speak on various issues concerning people, he said.

Revanth Reddy said that the state government has revealed its mind that it was not ready to waive farm loans at one go. He said that despite NCRB report indicating highest number of farm suicides in the state, the government was least bothered about the plight of the farmers.

He said that the CM had advised farmers to grow Soya and Tur, but he did not speak on the MSP on the same crops.

The TD MLA said that the Chief Minister will pay a heavy price if the TRS Government shuts the Nizam Sugar Factory (NSF). Shutting NSF will spell doom to the CM, he said.

Revanth Reddy said that the Speaker had informed the Court that TDP had 15 MLAs but in the House, but only three MLAs were identified as MLAs. The TRS government is indulging in political corruption by encouraging defections, he said. (INN)
