Bhatti demands 50% party tickets for BCs in next elections

Hyderabad: TPCC Vice-President Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Sunday advised the party High Command to allocate 50% of party tickets for candidates belonging to Backward Classes in 2019 elections.

Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, Bhatti said that the Congress party should give high importance to BCs in next elections.

He said that the party could return to power if it gains the confidence of BCs in Telangana State. He said that the TPCC’s OBC Department would install statues of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule across the State.

He also informed that all District Congress Committees (DCCs) and other bodies up to Mandal-level would be constituted by Ugadi festival. (INN)

Meanwhile, addressing a separate press conference, AICC Secretary V. Hanumantha Rao informed that a BC Garjana would be organised soon and AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi would be invited for the same. (INN)
