Skill development is the priority of the government: MSME Secretary

Hyderabad: Skill development is the priority of the government, said K.K. Jalan, Secretary of Ministry of MSME, while delivering the inaugural address at the workshop on Beauty and Wellness in National Institute of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NIMSME) here on Tuesday.

Jalan said that micro enterprises had great potential for employment opportunities.

Speaking on the occasion, NIMSME Director General Dr. Chandrasekhar Reddy said that NIMSME is providing training to national and international participants in micro small and medium enterprises.

He said that this wellness program is sponsored by MSME ministry and the NIMSME would provide all necessary help to the Micro entrepreneurs in wellness sector.

Beauty and wellness expert and master trainer Jawed Habib said that professional skills would enable the youth to earn good amount of money in beauty and wellness sectors.

Demonstration sessions were conducted for the benefit of participants. Several persons from micro enterprises who had setup saloons have participated in the workshop. (INN)
