KCR proposes to law to counter critics

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has warned the opposition leaders of legal action if they level baseless allegations against the TRS Government.

Replying to the debate on Motion of Thanks on Governor’s Address in Assembly on Saturday, the Chief Minister claimed that the political corruption has been eradicated from the State ever since TRS took over in June 2014.

He said this was accepted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself. However, he said Congress and TDP leaders have been leveling false allegations of corruption against the TRS Government.

The Chief Minister said that the government would soon introduce a legislation wherein people would be sent to prison if they fail to prove the corruption charges against the government.

He said that instead of giving constructive suggestions, the opposition leaders were linking everything to commission to defame the government.

Stating that he had lost his patience in tolerating those leveling baseless allegations, the Chief Minister said that the government would bring in “Prove or Punish” Law to take action against those involved in defamatory activities. (INN)
