Revanth accepts KCR’s challenge on Governor’s address

Hyderabad: Telangana TDP Working President and MLA A. Revanth Reddy has accepted the challenge posed by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao asking him to prove that Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan was made to speak lies during his joint address to the Assembly and Council on the first day of budget session on Friday.

KCR had offered to quit the CM’s post if Revanth proves his allegations.

Speaking to media persons at Assembly Media Point on Saturday, Revanth Reddy referred to the four speeches delivered by the Governor in Assembly and claimed that none of the promises made in those speeches have been fulfilled.

In the first speech in 2014, he said that the Governor had assured payment of compensation, government job and a house to the families of 1200 people who sacrificed their lives for Telangana. However, even after three years, the government identified only 500 beneficiaries and not a single family has been provided with a government job.

Similarly, Revanth Reddy said that the Governor in his address delivered last year, promised to provide drinking water to 6,000 villages by December 2016 under Mission Bhagiratha.

However, he said as of now those villages have not been supplied the water. (INN)
