Ideas of Karl Marx attracted a good number of youth in an event organized by Hyderabad-based collective ‘In Defense Of Reason’ on March 4 and 5.
The two-day Marxist Study Circle at Lamakaan was led by political activist Anand Singh, who regularly contributes to newspaper ‘Mazdoor Bigul’ and Marxist theoretical journal ‘The Anvil’.
First session covered the topics of Dialectical and Historical Materialism, while the second session was on Marxist Epistemology (Theory of Knowledge), said event organizer Parag Verma.
“Both of the sessions saw overwhelming response from the participants. We intend to conduct further sessions on Marxism in succession to these two topics,” he added.
