TRS Rule will continue in Telangana for 20 more years: Harish

Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao has claimed that the TRS rule in Telangana State would continue for another 20 years.

Addressing party workers’ meeting in Singoor of Sangareddy on Sunday, Harish Rao said that the TRS has effectively resolved the major problems faced by the people. He said farmers faced problems like power cuts, shortage of fertilizers and water during the Congress regimes.

However, within a short time after coming to power, he said that the TRS Government has overcome all the shortcomings. He said steps were being taken to provide free fertilizers to farmers from next year onwards by paying Rs. 8,000 to each farmer.

He said that Telangana was on top in the country in terms of allocation and spending on agriculture sector.

The minister said that the TRS Government would need a little more time to correct the mistakes committed during previous Congress regimes.

Harish Rao said that the main opposition Congress was badly hit with groupism and internal squabbles. He said that the Congress leaders were targeting the ruling TRS only to divert people’s attention from their infighting. (INN)
