Bandlaguda land grabbing took place during Congress rule: MBT

Hyderabad: Majlis Bachao Tahreek spokesperson Amjed Ullah Khan asked the Telangana Government to order a probe into the encroachments on government lands in Bandlaguda land since the previous Congress regime.

In a media statement on Tuesday, the MBT leader said that near 600 Acres of Bandlaguda land was grabbed by a politically backed mafia when Congress was in power and Mohammed Ali Shabbir was city in-charge minister in the government.

Shabbir Ali was helpless as his allied political party was involved in the land grabbing activity, he said.

Amjed Ullah Khan alleged that Shabbir Ali, as the then minister, remained silent over large scale land grabbing although he was alerted and reminded about the same on several occasions by different people.

“Instead of shedding crocodile tears, Shabbir Ali should approach the High Court if he is really serious in safeguarding government land worth crores of rupees,” he said.

He also demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao should immediately order a probe by Criminal Investigation Department on the land grabbing in Bandlaguda. (INN)
