Hyderabad: The Osmania University has re-designed its website to make it more user-friendly.
The main features of the redesigned website are it is a Responsive web design that respond to the user’s behavior and environment based on screen size, platform and orientation aimed at crafting sites to provide an optimal viewing experience – easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning,
and scrolling – across a wide range of devices from desktop computer monitors through tablets to smart phones. Further, the redesigned website is based on PHP – MYSQL PLATFORM AND JAVA SCRIPT CSS compatible on all devices.
Increasing use of the internet and proliferation of web applications on tablet and mobile devices has been the driving force behind this development.
Traditionally users would be re-directed to a device specific site (e.g. mobile), but responsive design means one site can be implemented across devices. Responsive design allows you to stay ahead of the trend. (INN)
