VHR asks TPCC not organise YSR’s anniversaries

Hyderabad: Congress senior leader and ex-MP V. Hanumantha Rao has strongly condemned the remarks of YSRCP leader Bhuma Karunakar Reddy against Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday, VHR said that it Sonia Gandhi who made Dr. Y.S. Rajashekhar Reddy the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Consequently, he alleged that Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy earned illegal wealth by misusing his position as the Chief Minister’s son. He said YSRCP leaders’ allegations and remarks against Sonia Gandhi were highly regrettable.

He asked Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee not to observe YSR’s birth or death anniversaries at Gandhi Bhavan until Karunakar Reddy withdraws his remarks against Sonia Gandhi.

VHR also condemned YSRCP for supporting the candidature of NDA candidate Ramnath Kovind. He said Ramnath Kovind had described Muslims and Christians as aliens for India and also opposed reservation for Dalit Christians and Muslims.

He said it was strange that despite being a Christian himself, Jagan was support Kovind’s candidature. (INN)
