Hyderabad: Telangana Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao said that the tender process for construction of Mallanna Sagar reservoir would be completed in the next 15 days.
Addressing a review meeting on Kaleshwaram project at Siddipet Collectorate on Sunday, the minister said that the tunnel works from Yellampally to Mallanna Sagar were nearing completion.
He said of 82 km stretch, tunnel works on nearly 79 km have been completed. He said water would be released from Ranga Naik Sagar to irrigate nearly one lakh acres of land.
Harish Rao said that the works on Mallanna Sagar reservoir would begin after the completion of tender process. He said that the works should be of high standard and directed the officials to ensure that no compromise is made on quality of works. (INN)
