Dy CM reviews arrangements for Haj Camp

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali reviewed the arrangements being made for smooth conduct of the Haj Camp 2017 and instructed that excellent arrangements be made for the safe and smooth departure of the Haj pilgrims from Hyderabad Embarkation Point.

He said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao desired that no stone be left unturned for providing comfort and convenience to the Haj pilgrims when they leave for the most sacred journey of their lifetime.

Mahmood Ali asked the Saudi Airlines authorities to ensure that no Haj flight is delayed and all amenities are provided to the pilgrims. He said that this year over 7,000 pilgrims belonging to Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka would fly from Hyderabad to Jeddah.

The Deputy CM said that representatives from 26 departments and organization participated in the meeting he appreciated all the departments and hoped that exemplary services to the pilgrims would be provided in a smooth manner.

He lauded the cooperation of Telangana State Waqf Board, GMR, Customs, Immigration, CISF, BCAS, Saudi Arabian Airlines, IPM, Princess Esra Hospital, GHMC, Fire Services, RTC, PWD, Police and Traffic Police departments for their impressive performance and said that because of their cooperation the Telangana got the pride of place in the country. He hoped that arrangements would be better this year.

The Haj Camp 2017 will commence from August 11 at Haj House, Nampally, Hyderabad and Haj Pilgrims will start proceeding to Haj from 13th August and last flight would fly on 22nd August, each flight would carry 450 pilgrims.

Advisor to Government (Minority Welfare) A. K. Khan asked the GMR to provide X-Ray machines at the Haj House and instructed the TS TRANSCO officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply during Haj Camp.

TS Waqf Board Chairman Mohammed Saleem, Minorities Welfare Department Secretary Syed Omer Jaleel and Haj Committee of India Member Tayyaba Tasneem were also present on this occasion. (INN)
