Traffic Point System to be extended across Telangana

Hyderabad: Transport Minister Mahender Reddy said that the Traffic Penalty Point System, which was introduced in Hyderabad on Tuesday, would be replicated across the Telangana State.

Speaking to media persons after launching various developmental works in Jangaon , the Transport Minister said that the State Government has taken various measures to curb accidents.

As part of this initiative and to promote safe driving, the Traffic Penalty Point System has been introduced in Hyderabad from Tuesday onwards. He hoped that the new system would ensure all road users follow the traffic rules.

Mahender Reddy also said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has assured to fill all vacancies in Transport Department. Further, he said steps were being taken to strengthen the Road Transport Corporation. (INN)
