Gujja becomes 100% digitally literate village

Hyderabad: Scaling another milestone in digital education, Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) has facilitated Gujja village of Yadadri become cent percent digitally literate village.

Telangana Principal Secretary for IT and Industries Jayesh Ranjan on Saturday announced this news and congratulated the villagers along with TITA members.

The village was adopted by the California based NRI Rambabu Manchakanti and about 135 people from the village were given training on digital tools by TITA volunteers.

MLA Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy distributed the certificates among the villagers who were trained. He appreciated the initiative of Digithon and said that this helps rural people a lot in carrying out digital transactions and keeps them updated on the latest digital developments.

He requested the TITA volunteers to carry out the Digital education program in Sarvel village which would be adopted by him.

TITA global president Sundeep Kumar Makthala on this occasion said that educating the rural people on digital tools was a unique and progressive idea and it was giving good results.

He appreciated the willingness and support of the NRI Rambabu M and called upon the Telangana NRIs to come forward for adopting villages of their choice for participating in this cause.

He said that if rural population is educated on this line it would be a real development of the state and country.

He said that his group would continue to educate and create awareness among masses about digital and IT developments in order to improve the living styles of the rural people.

Parents of Rambabu M were honored by MLA and TITA members on this occasion. TITA vice president Rana Pratap, general secretary Ashwin Chandra, joint secretary Vishwak Lakki Reddy and organizing Secretary Praveen Madipoju were present during the event. (INN)
