Hyderabad: The TS EAPCET 2024 results were officially released on Saturday by Education Department’s Chief Secretary Burra Venkatesam and Telangana State Council for Higher Education chairman R Limbadri. This year’s results showed mixed performance across different streams.
In the engineering stream, boys outperformed girls overall, with only one girl making it to the top ten. The pass percentage for the engineering stream decreased slightly compared to the previous two years. This year, 74.98 per cent of students passed, with 75.85 per cent of girls and 74.98 per cent of boys succeeding. Out of 2,40,618 students who appeared for the exams, 1,80,424 passed.
In comparison, the pass percentage for engineering was higher in previous years: 80.33 per cent in 2023 and 80.41 per cent in 2022. In 2023, 1,95,275 students appeared for the exams, with 1,56,879 passing, while in 2022, 1,56,860 students appeared, and 1,26,140 passed.
The agriculture and pharmacy streams performed better, with an 89.66 per cent pass rate this year. Girls excelled, achieving a 90.18 per cent pass rate compared to 88.25 per cent for boys. A total of 91,633 students appeared for these exams, with 82,163 passing. In this stream, three girls secured spots in the top ten, and the top-ranked, Aluru Praneetha, hails from Annamayya District in Andhra Pradesh.Previous years’ results for agriculture and pharmacy showed an 86.31 per cent pass rate in 2023 and 88.34 per cent in 2022.
