Karnataka accepts TS request for release of water

Hyderabad: Karnataka Government has reportedly accepted the request of Telangana Government for release of water from Alamatti/Narayanpur reservoir.

Telangana Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao had written a letter to his Karnataka counterpart M.B. Patil on Tuesday seeking release of 15 TMC water to meet the drinking water supply needs of twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and also flouride affected Nalgonda region.

Chief Engineer of TS Irrigation Dept Sunil today called on M.B. Patil and handed over Harish Rao’s letter.

According to sources, Patil had asked the Telangana representatives to meet the Managing Director of Krishna Bhagya Jalam Ltd for further process. (INN)
