Telangana’s District Collectors goes online

Hyderabad: The dashboard for the District Collectors, called ‘Telangana State District Monitoring System(TSDMS)’ was formally launched by Planning Department Special Chief Secretary B. P. Acharya at the Ranga Reddy District Collectorate on Wednesday.

This Dashboard for Collectors, the first of its kind in the State, was developed by Planning Department in collaboration with the Centre for Good Governance (CGG), covering as many as 90 parameters involving 20 line departments.

This would help the District Collectors to monitor daily progress of various flagship programmes and important activities at the district level on regular basis. They will also have the information on every household of the district at their finger tips. This dashboard will be extended to all other districts within a fortnight.

Acharya also presented certificates to the district staff, those who successfully completed the ‘e-learning modules’ taken up by the Government of India ( Department of Personnel and Training) in collaboration of Dr. MCR HRDIT.

Telangana is one of the 4 states selected by the Government of India for this pilot project, wherein 9,000 field staff were trained in different soft skills over a period of three months.

Ranga Reddy District Collector B. Raghunandhan Rao and other senior officials were also present. (INN)
