Uttam welcomes Revanth Reddy into Congress

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has welcomed the decision of Kodangal MLA A. Revanth Reddy to join the Congress party.

Uttam Kumar Reddy informed that Revanth Reddy, along with the supporters, will formally join the Congress party in the presence of AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi at 12 noon on Tuesday. AICC Secretary R.C. Khuntia and other senior leaders will also be present on the occasion.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said that Telangana was granted statehood by Congress president Sonia Gandhi in view of sacrifices and struggles made by students and youth.

However, he said no section of the society was happy under the rule of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao. He said people would throw TRS out of power in 2019 elections.

The TPCC chief said he wholeheartedly welcomes Revanth Reddy and all other leaders into the Congress fold and hoped that their entry would strengthen the Congress party further in Telangana State. (INN)
