CISF signs MoU with NALSAR University of Law

Hyderabad: The CISF Academy NISA has entered into an agreement with NALSAR University of law for awarding PG Diplomas to the Officers and Sub Officers who complete their basic training at CISF NISA, Hyderabad.

The MoU was signed by Prof.Faizan Mustafa, Vice-Chancellor of NALSAR University of Law and Jagbir Singh, Inspector General, CISF (Training Sector & Director NISA), in presence of O P Singh, Director General, CISF.

The “Advanced PG Diploma in Industrial Security, law and Management” will be awarded to Assistant Commandants while Sub-Inspectors/Exe will be given “PG Diploma in Industrial Security, Law and Management”.

During deliberations with CISF officers, DG/CISF decided to enter into an MoU with a University of repute and distinction for standardising the training at NISA and getting it recognised in the lines of National Police Academy, Hyderabad and Osmania University,

wherein IPS Probationers are awarded Master’s Degree in Police Management by Osmania University on successful completion of two years training.

This is aimed to equip our Officers with additional qualificationthat would provide them a degree reflecting what exactly they acquired and will also create greater respect for the academic excellence that exists in our services.

NALSAR University of Law, officially National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad, is a legal studies institution located in Shamirpet, Hyderabad, Telangana, established in 1998. It is the second National Law University to be instituted in India and is counted amongst the top law schools of the country.

It was ranked second in India by The Week’s Top Law Colleges in 2017”.Besides offering a five year integrated BA-LLB (Hons), LLM, M Phil and PhD, NALSAR also offers PG Diploma and many more courses in Management and other subjects.

While addressing the gathering, Prof Faizan Mustafa expressed his happiness on entering an MoU with CISF and said that this would go on a long way. O P Singh, DG/CISF also expressed his happiness and gratitude to Prof. Faizan Mustafa for coming forward and accepting the proposal of CISF for awarding PG Diploma to CISF trainee officers on completion of their basic training.

The entering into the MoU, envisaged active participation of NALSAR University of Law, faculty in the training and evaluation of the basic courses at CISF Academy NISA, which will upgrade the standards of training and will benefit the trainee officers as well. This additional qualification will be known as a milestone in the field of training in CISF Academy NISA. (INN)
