Students from across the state participate in an essay competition on Prophet Muhammad

Hyderabad: As many as 20 thousands students from Telangana participated in a state level multi-lingual essay competition on Prophet Muhammad (peace Be Upon Him) titled “Inpired By Prophet Muhammad”. The competition was conducted by Students Islamic Organisation of India(SIO), Telangana Zone.

Students from Hyderabad and districts including the students from state board and the islamic seminaries penned their thoughts on Prophet Muhammad in Telugu, Urdu & English languages. It was part of an on-going campaign by Jamat-e- islami Hind and SIO Telangana, titled “Muhammad For All” in a bid to publicise the message of Prophet Muhammad and bridge the gap among communities.

While Jamat reached the masses across Telangana through its various kind of programs, SIO worked among students fraternity to introduce Prophet Muhammad and his teachings to the students.

The prize distribution ceremony to feliciate the best essays writers in state was conducted at Khaja Mansion Function Hall, Masabtank Hyderabad on Sunday. Hamid Mohammed Khan (State president, jamat-e- islami), Malik Motasim Khan, member State Waqf Board, and other representatives from Jamat and Sio were present.

Syeda Haajer D/O Syed Azeem Ali, a student of MS Junior College studying in Inter 2 nd year, Hyderabad stood first in state and bagged the prize money of 50,000 rs. Vushakola Padmaja D/O Lavakumar, astudent of PRBM Junior College studying in Inter 2 nd Year, hailing from Korutla town, Jagtial District, stood 2 nd and bagged the prize money of 25,000 rs.

Mariya Gouher D/O Noorul Haq, a graduate student of Vidyarthi Degree College from Adilabad stood third and bagged prize money of 15,000 rs. Besides, Mohammad Ashraf S/O Lal Mohammad from karimnagar, Farheen begum D/O Mohammed Khursheed from Hyderabad, Sureshmi Koppula D/O Ravi from Kothagudem, Syed Asim S/O Syed
Lateef from Echoda, Adilabad and Zulfishan Tasneem D/O Syed Ismail from Hyderabad were given
consolation prizes each of rupees 2000.

Emphasizing the need of inter-community relationship and bridging the gap among communities by sharing the message of peace and harmony, Hamid Mohammed Khan concluded the program.
