Karimnagar Smart City works reviewed

Hyderabad: Principal Secretary Municipal Administration & Urban Development Arvind Kumar today took stock of the various works taken up by the Karimnagar Smart City Corporation.

At a meeting held with the officials of Karimnagar Smart City Corporation at Secretariat today, he underlined the need to develop two or three roads in Karimnagar with smart features. He also suggested that smart poles with CCTV, LED lights, Wifi facility should be laid as part of the pan city project.

He asked the Karimnagar Commissioner Shashank to fix timelines and targets to the project management consultants to expedite the works being taken up by them. He asked the officials to build as many mini sewage treatment plants as possible.

All places of public importance such as parks, bus bays and bus stations should be developed to have a visible impact on the public, he said. Construction of storm water drains and urban health clinics on the lines of Hyderabad may also be taken up in Karimnagar, Kumar said.
